Levante's highest ABV beer to date, this imperial pastry stout was dreamed up to taste like a liquid blondie brownie, rich with white chocolate, lactose sugar, and Madagascar vanilla.
This decadence-in-a-can really is a liquid brownie. In the nose we find aromas of wet earth, rich chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, allspice and caramel. The flavour is sweeter than the smell leads on yet not as sweet as you'd expect of a Pastry Stout. There's more of that moist forrest earth and sweet caramel in the flavour, along with coconut, sweetened coffee and sticky dates. Medium-high in body, medium-low to low in carbonation, medium in bitter and with a very smooth mouthfeel. Enough sweetness to max out your daily intake but within pleasurable levels. A little warming alcohol at the swallow and the sweetness lingers for a few minutes in the finish.
